Rain dates happen. This year the annual Litchfield Bug-In got wet. In the thick of fall Volkswagens from across New England gathered to give it another try, and conditions couldn’t have been better!

I went to a VW show in New Hampshire last weekend and took lots of pictures.
New Look
I’ve changed the layout again. The site has forged its own identity apart from the ring. After thinking about it for a while, I decided to change the layout so all the resources are equally accessible. Of course, a name change was required. Since I already have the domain WCVW, I figured “Water-Cooled Volkswagen World” fit perfectly. Hopefully, no one out there has a site by the same name – if you know of one, let me know.
New VW!
I just bought a ’88 Jetta GLi in great shape for $600… Well, almost in great shape. A kid rolled it, but it seems to have survived alright asside from a crushed control arm and a lost driveshaft and tie rod. Pictures to be posted ASAP once I get the car to my folks’ place…
December Stats
I’m sure you’re all sitting on the edge of your seats in anticipation of the December stats. Ok, I’m not fooling anybody. Anyhow, the ring homepage was viewed roughly 1100 times in December. 17500 people browsed member pages and the the ring code was clicked on 1300 times.

New Server
If you can read this, the domain name has finally transferred. The Water-Cooled Volkswagen Ring is now hosted by DynastyHost. Welcome to our new home!
Website Changes
The site has been cosmetically overhauled. Here’s what’s new:
- All GIFs have been replaced by PNGs. (Read why!)
- Minor changes to the title graphic and ring image.
- Sponsorship banners and buttons have been added. (Read why!)
- Rewrote the Add a Site page to provide more explanation.
- Realized my mistake and dumped most of the cheesy merchandise. I left the page up for future use. The magazines are still available on there as I think they’re worth promoting.
- A whole bunch of changes to the HTML code make the site cleaner and more accessible, but you can’t see them.
